Today in DF Mr Ward gave a demo about how to stabalise the lid without having to glue it permently then having to take it off and possibly damage it.
Instead we did something similar to what we did at the bottom where by i glued two small pieces of wood to the top to develope a lid that can come off and go back on easily

Reflection-2
Today in Df Mr Ward demonstrated how to make the for the toy. Because i am doing the birds i had to make the length of the box a little longer than most peoples:
WIDTH: 200mm
LENGTH: 150mm
When i finished cutting out the wood on the band saw i sanded it. Then i had to cut out a hole through the two side pieces to put the shaft through the middle so it can rotate in the box to move the birds. When i finished cutting out the hole with a 13 mm wide drill bit i glued the two side pieces to the bottom piece. Than i glued two small pieces of wood in the corners to make it stable, nect lesson i am going to do the lid.
